Editor's Note-

By: Zeze Miller

It's been quite a time since we released the last newsletter back in January. I've thoroughly enjoyed being such a big part of MACRT and being the first to read through all these wonderful articles! Spring hasn't been very kind to us this year: all rain and cold weather, but I've been fortunate to be involved with the MACRT newsletter.  The correspondence with the various authors has certainly helped to keep the late spring blues from all those rainy days away. As always I am proud to serve the MACRT community and look forward to hearing from you soon! The deadline for the summer edition of the MACRT newsletter is Friday, July 18, 2008. If you have suggestions or ideas, please contact Zeze Miller at zeze.o.miller@dss.mo.gov or call me at 573-751-8903. Thank you in advance for your contribution. You can have your newsletter e-mailed which will cut down on the cost of postage and paper.  If you are interested in a newsletter via e-mail please contact Sue Dalton or Lucille Dolan at transvis@mc.net.

President's Message-

By: Latisha Houston

Hello MACRT members,

Are you aware that this is an election year?  Not only is it time for many local, state, and federal elections (including the presidential election of course), but it is also time for elections within the MACRT organization.  Elections will be held at the MACRT/ASERT Conference for president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and four members-at-large.  Each position is a two-year term.  If you are interested in serving on the board, please submit your name to the chairperson of the Nomination Committee, Jennifer Ottowitz. Include a brief biography in one hundred words or less.  Each MACRT member will receive a copy of the biographies at the Conference before the elections. Voting will take place at the conference during the MACRT Business meeting. Only MACRT members are able to vote. Jenifer will be able to provide additional information on the responsibilities of these leadership positions. She may be contacted via the information listed in this newsletter. The Conference in Alabama is going to be very exciting and informative and I hope to see you all there! Latisha Houston, CVRTRehabilitation InstructorICRE-Wood1151 S.
